Love is like the feeling after your first kiss,
Total bliss.
Engulfs your body, mind, and soul,
So powerful you cannot control.
Knocks you off your feet,
Gets under you skin,
Feels so unreal,
You think its your imagination…

Love is misused a lot these days,
So lemme give you my spin on the phrase.

Body:
Love is not something when you’re just trying to get into her pants,
Or when your relationship falters and you say it just to keep her entranced.
Love is not just a word, feeling, or emotion,
You can’t induce it with silly love potions.
[pause]
It is to hold close and protect,
Never let go, never disrespect.
Love is forever,
Eternal,
Everlasting.
Not when you just say it to do so,
Not just a quick fling.
And without the true meaning behind em,
[pause]
The words “I love you,”
[pause]
Don’t mean a thing.
